Transcend

President

May 2024 - Current

My role involves leading presentations to local transgender, nonbinary, and genderqueer Texas A&M Students as well as the broader Bryan College Station community. I work to develop and organize resources as well as to create a safe space where transgender students can meet each other, access resources, and learn about important aspects to transitioning and thriving at Texas A&M and in Bryan-College Station as a transgender person. I work with professors, community members, University leadership, and other organizations to advocate on behalf of transgender students.

Associate Officer

December 2023 - May 2024

My role primarily involved meeting with professors over the concerns of our organization as well as our members, and to develop resources and occasionally present them to our members. I also worked to our presentations, communicate with members and spread the word about our organization, and to generate ideas for future events and resources.

Queer Empowerment Council

Organization Representative (Transcend)

May 2024 - Current

Within this role, I serve as the facilitator between Transcend and the rest of the LGBT organizations on campus at Texas A&M, such that they are kept aware of our organization and the events that go down. In my time so far, we've jointly spoken out against Texas A&M University decisions against transgender healthcare as well as to organize members who are interested in speaking out themselves.

Pride Community Center (Bryan)

Board of Directors Member

July 2024 - Current

Since the decision to remove access to gender affirming care from our University Health Services, I've been working as a member of the Board of Directors alongside local community members fighting to provide resources to transgender students at Texas A&M as a part of the Pride Community Center. Here, I serve as a voice for the transgender community at Texas A&M and I work to make sure that the organization distributes resources in an equitable manner.
